Termination and 45 working day cover by the employer

Hello
I have to sign a termination form and my employer (who has not found enough due to grand shortage) offered me to cover the cost of the 45 working delay for benefit in case I dont find another job. To me it's ok but can this work? Am I covered?

  • Hej Michael!

    Thanks for your post.
    • If one gets money from a former employer when one leaves a job, we concider the money to be a dismissal payment. If you get enough money to cover at the least 45 days ( 45 days with the average salalry you have had) there will be no sanction.
I hope my answer is of use to you.

    Kind regards, Annika

  • Thank you Annika, it is very helpful.

Please could tell me another thing : is it 45 working days ? or 45 full days ?

    Kinds regards
  • The 45 days are at the most 5 days a weekend, that is 9 full weeks. After that there are 2 days of ”karens” and after that we can start paying benefit.

Have a nice day and don’t hesitate to get back to us if you more questions.

    Kind regards, Annika
