- A person working as scientist in a university should definately join Akademikernas a-kassa. It's unemployment benefit fund for all persons with an academic education.
- The monthly membership fee is currently 140:- SEK per month. No extra fees unless you also want to join a trade union which offers extra financial help.
- If you have at least 150 Swedish higher education credits, or an equivalent foreign education (at least a Bachelor's degree), you can become a member.
- Click here to apply for membership. Normally no documents are required but occasinally we need additional information.
- We offer autogiro, e-faktura and invoices through Klarna or sent by mail.
- It's possible to receive benefits from the first day of membership. However to be able to receive full benefits (80% of average salaries up to 34 000:- SEK) you need to have been a mamber for 12 months.
