Unemployment benefit

I worked in Northvolt and I got released from work since 1st of June. However on the termination latter my termination will be 30th of June thus I am going to receive June salary from State wage guarantee. So I know I am eligible to apply for unemployment benefit from July. My question here is that my workpermit on my residence card is till January 2026 but my workpermit will expire in October which is 3month after the termination day. This is my situation and I'm wondering how long I can receive the benefit.

    You will be able to receive unemploymentbenefits for as long as you have a valid work permit. To be able to register as unemplyed with Arbetsförmedlingen (which is a basic condition for being able to recieve unemployment benefits) you need to have a valid work permit.

    For the possibilities of receiving benefits after the work permit I advice you to speak to Arbetsförmedlingen or Migrationsverket.
