How does the 45 suspension days count

My question is about the 45 suspension days: Are they deducted from my compensation days like I will receive 45 days less compensation as compared to people who are fired? or is it like after 45 days, compensation days will be same as others?
Will my first 100 days will be reduced to 55 days for first period of compensation?
