Moving to work to Finland for 2 years

Hej,

I have been a member at AEA since January, 2014 and in September, I will be moving to work to Finland for 2 years.

Firstly, I assume I should terminate my membership at AEA when I start working in Finland and enrol to an AEA equivalent there. Any information about that would be highly appreciated.

Secondly, what will happen when I come back to Sweden 2 years later? Would it be possible to renew my current membership or would I have to start the new one?

Nordic countries usually have all kinds of collaborations, so maybe you can provide some more information regarding unemployment benefits when moving from Sweden to Finland.

Thanks in advance.

  • Hello Marius!

It seems like you already have it under control!
    • Terminate your membership with us when you move.
    • As soon as you start your new employment in Finland you should join a Finnish a-kassa.
    • If you come back to Sweden you should join us as soon as possible. We will add the time you have been a member of a Finnish a-kassa.
