I have a 24-month work permit

Hello,
I read before that to qulify the unemploment benefit, "you must be available in Swedish job mark" or "you must have the right to work in Sweden". For citizen from outside of EU who has a full time job in Sweden, a work permit is required to work in Sweden.  According to migrationsverket, "during the first 24 months, the work permit is only applicable to the specific employer and occupation indicated in your decision."   If a citizen from outside of EU hold such a 24-month work permit; has worked 18 months in Sweden; paid tax in Sweden; has qulified all the conditions 1-3 above, and has been been dismissed after 18 months. Will he or she be eligable for unemployment benefites for the remaining 6 months of his/her work permite valid period?  Thank you.

    • To be eligale for unemployment benefit you must have a general work permit. I recommend you to contact your union to get help regarding your employment.
